This is your opportunity to join one of the most recognized leaders in healthcare. The Revenue Cycle Manager will oversee day to day operations related to posting, billing and collecting all clinical activities revenue within Inpatient behavioral health. The position will follow and enforce with all facilities the utilization of standard operating procedures that result in accurate billing and timely collections while creating systems and processes that monitor and manage collections and compliance with payer and other regulatory bodies.

Essential functions:

  • Oversees team for day to day operations including staffing, training, support and education and inspiration of the billing team.
  • Implements and follows standardized billing department policies and procedures and insure that the clinical departments comply with SOP's that ensure maximum collections and regulatory compliance.
  • Works closely with the operations team to assure understanding and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for third party claim resolution including denials and appeals management.
  • Assists in generating billing metrics to facility staff, operations and corporate service teams.
  • Collaborates with hospital accounting and finance on report generation, budgeting, and general ledger postings.
  • Makes edits in the PUBS billing system which requires correction and release.
  • Makes edits in the Patient Keeper entry system for all inpatient NP and Physician billing.
  • Manages the Revenue Cycle including tracking of physician productivity.
  • Responsible for the oversight of the utilization review process.



  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • Must have verifiable team and billing management experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant and progressive experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Deep understanding of medical coding systems to include; ICD-9/10, CPT, HCPCS, DRG, APC and revenue code structures.
  • Be able to quickly identify root cause of billing problems and bring to resolution.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and other billing systems platforms.
  • Knowledgeable of D.C. Department of Behavioral Health regulations a plus.
  • Experience creating and implementing Metrics and Dashboards a plus.
