1/3 to 1/2 of residents, on average, in nursing homes suffer from a diagnosed/undiagnosed behavioral health condition.  Staff are unequipped to manage this behavioral health population and residents may receive either inadequate or no behavioral healthcare or residents may experience excessive antipsychotic medication use from inadequate staffing.

Diamond can help Senior Living Facilities meet quality requirements with our Treatment In Place® program.  Our program looks for and hires well-qualified and compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioners who can address key quality principles by:

    • Coordinating care with primary care providers
    • Providing access to mental health professionals
    • Providing training and education to staff regarding the treatment of residents with behavioral health       needs
    • Implementing a daily clinical program schedule and quality improvement initiative

Diamond Healthcare has facilities in Virginia regions - Southwest, Northern Virginia, Tidewater, Peninsula and is opening this program in other Virginia regions and surrounding states.
