    Diamond Healthcare in Williamsburg Virginia has a full time Insurance Coordinator position.

    The Insurance Coordinator works under the supervision of the department Director.  Responsibilities include verification of insurance benefits, preparing patient liability estimates, and communicating information to facility departments.  Insurance Coordinator acts as a liaison between the facility and patients or patient’s representatives related to insurance benefits, utilization review requirements, and patient inquiries. 

    Position requirements:

    • Strong understanding of Revenue Cycle functional areas
    • Must provide exceptional customer service
    • Can interpret and clearly explain insurance benefits and coverage guidelines
    • Provides options for patients and their representatives
    • Functions as a liaison between patients, families, and facility leadership
    • Ability to keep a variety of tasks on-stream, and work within a structured environment


    Education:  High School graduate or equivalent.  3-5 years of experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle preferred.
