The psychiatric LPN performs tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health education, health teaching, health counseling and supporting and restorative care in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act. Administers nursing care and procedures to assigned patients in accordance with the Nursing Care Plan; implements written medical regimen prescribed by a Physician, administers medications, reporting any significant changes and updates care plan; and provides teaching care and instruction to patients and their families in accordance with discharge planning.
