    No License required!  We have immediate openings for interim Social Worker positions at Providence Behavioral Hospital in Holyoke, MA.  This professional clinical position is responsible for providing case management and discharge planning services for patients in the inpatient unit.  This professional will be a key member of the treatment team and its process functioning as part of a multidisciplinary team supporting the clinical operational needs of the department. 

     

     Some of the primary responsibilities include:

    • Provides psychosocial assessment, treatment/discharge/transition planning
    • Provides group therapy
    • Continues professional growth and continuing education credits
    • Provides supervision and case consultation to student interns
    • Able to work independently clinically and has whose caseload reflects more complex and clinically challenging cases
    • Practices and maintains relevant regulations and standards
    • Complies and updates licensure as needed

     

     

     

     

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Masters degree in social work, psychology, marriage, family or child counseling or related field.  NO LICENSE NEEDED!
    • 1+ years of behavioral health experience
    • Experience with child and adolescent population is required
    • Strong patient assessment skills
    • Ability to make independent clinical decisions for continual treatment and for crisis situations.
    • Ability to consult with unit treatment team on clinically programming issues
    • Able to communicate verbally and in writing with others
    • Knowledge of specialized treatment approaches within specific clinical areas.
    • Knowledge of:
      • Joint Commission standards
      • Crisis intervention principles and practices
      • Case management
      • Medical and pharmacology terminology
