The Director of Clinical Services position, located in Alamogordo NM, has administrative and program development responsibilities, provides clinical supervision to inpatient and outpatient staff, and works directly with patients and families (conducts assessments, leads group therapy, facilitates marital and/or family therapies, and treatment planning). The Director manages the various therapies offered and provides guidance for a safe and high quality program.
This position reports directly to the Executive Director.
Gerald Champion Regional Medical Center is the region’s leading Behavioral Health provider with a stellar reputation that garners referrals from throughout the state. As of May 2016 services expanded to include a 38 bed inpatient acute unit that serves the geriatric and adult population. The hospital has a large outpatient clinic that is located on the hospital grounds which includes an intensive outpatient program, a partial hospital program, and medication management clinic that serve adult, geropsych, and military patients.
Alamogordo is located in south central New Mexico, about an hour and a half drive from Las Cruces, NM, and El Paso, TX. This 31,000 population city is bordered by the beautiful Sacramento Mountains to the east and by White Sands National Monument to the west. Camping, hiking, and snow-skiing are all easily accessible. Alamogordo is home to the New Mexico Space Museum, which hosts the International Space Hall of Fame. The city is known for the spectacular White Sands Balloon Invitational each September. Other festivities include, the Oktoberfest hosted by German Air Force and nearby Holloman Air Force Base, Labor Day Cottonwood Festival, and a fun sized summer County Fair.
