Overview

Due to expansion in New Jersey, Signet Health is actively seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Acute Care for our program at Valley Health in Ridgewood, NJ.

 

In a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment, contributes professional and clinical expertise to ensure the delivery of best in class care to hospitalized patients * Leads Rapid Responses called on Hospitalized patients to ensure early intervention and improved outcomes * Leads ACLS Codes called on Hospitalized patients who are deteriorating or are in crisis * Performs procedures based on hospital privileges i.e. placing intravenous lines, NG tubes etc. * Assists in prompt critical patient issues * Performs physical exams and clinical evaluations * Orders and reviews diagnostic tests * Orders and monitors medications * Coordinates the transition to higher level of care as needed * Manages communication between team and PCP * Participates as a Member of the TVH CODE committee * Participates in quality assessment and performance improvement activities * Opportunity to train and work in critical care on a rotating basis, train to be privileged in procedures, such as arterial and central lines. Ridgewood Campus * Provides medical management and daily rounding for Recovery & Wellness * Perform admissions, history and physicals, and discharges to/from Recovery & Wellness unit * Performs physical exams, clinical and basic psychiatric evaluations for Recovery and Wellness unit * Manages communication between interdisciplinary teams, to include Recovery and Wellness team, social work and medical team * Knowledgeable regarding addiction medicine management, medications, integrative health resources for addiction * Leads Rapid Response and ACLS codes for all patients at the Ridgewood Campus * Provides immediate medical care for outpatient imaging services, to included but not limited to contrast reaction, anaphylaxis * Escalates medical emergencies appropriately via 911 to Paramus campus as needed

Requirements/Qualifications

* Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care or Physician Assistant

* Masters Degree is required.
